Documented professional recent frame off restored gorgeous 72 Corvette Coupe. Originally Canadian sold, always BC registered. Stock rare Bryar Blue (Teal) on stock black leather interior. Numbers matching 350 motor and automatic tranny; power windows, power brakes, and tilt telescopic power steering; 40800 MILES. Air Care passed, Collector plate approved. This car turns heads and gets compliments from everyone. The only unoriginal body panel on this car is the left rear quarter panel and rear taillight assembly. Damage was low impact and from so long ago that a GM body panel was used for the repair. The frame was carefully inspected and measured and was only 1/16 inch off at one front corner.
This car was COMPLETELY dismantled, with every "disposable" part replaced with new. The frame was professionally stripped, phosphate coated, and powder coated, and all major mechanical components were stripped and restored accordingly, but the engine has not been rebuilt that I know of. Everything was kept as "Corvette Correct" as possible with the exception of upgrades to suspension and brakes due to better technology or for safety. Non original damaged paint was fully stripped down to fiberglass; epoxy primed and painted with PPG waterborne paint and clear coated; preliminarily wet sanded and polished. A PPG Paint tech performed intensive careful colour matching to the original Bryar Blue patch located on the car, so the colour is as accurate as possible to original lacquer Bryar Blue. The front end was removed during restoration to properly access, cut out and replace the small rusted areas on lower windshield frame. There is over $20000 spent on paint, bodywork, and trim work alone. The chasse frame also had small areas of rust cut out and replaced, so the entire chasse and birdcage are IMMACULATE! Mileage is only suspected to be original based on the condition of the frame and lack of wear and tear noted on parts during the dismantling of the vehicle.
This car drives straight, smoothly and quietly without typical body squeaks. The interior is new, and all interior work was done by Pacific Auto Trim in Vancouver. I have invested over $149,000 in restoring this car--yes $149,000. I never intended or expected to spend this kind of money on the car, so I am now forced to put her up for sale. Put it into perspective and do not miss out: there is over $31,200 in parts & $20,000 in body work, you are getting the ENTIRE mechanical labour free. For the amount of work done to this vehicle it is a STEAL at the above price for this beauty, so do not contact me with any snide comments or opinions about the car's worth. A frame off restored car cannot be compared to an unrestored car, so just appreciate that my tremendous loss is your phenomenal gain. AS IS $59,900 FIRM . SERIOUS ENQUIRIES ONLY PLEASE. NO SOLICITORS
