BUILDING OPERATOR - VANCOUVER The Role: Are you looking for the opportunity to work for a highly regarded national property owner and management company? Our client is offering a great opportunity for an enthusiastic self-starter to join their team in Vancouver, looking after the physical operations of a class A property. They offer a great work environment and the opportunity to grow professionally, learning form their well tenured and experienced team. The Building Operator will be responsible for ensuring that the tenants have efficient day to day operations in terms of cosmetic maintenance and mechanical systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to the following: * Preventative maintenance work, as well as maintenance of the control systems and problem solving issues as required
* Building good working relationships with the tenants and responding to all issues or requests to take corrective action
* Routine building checks and maintaining logs * Repairs to interior spaces, such as construction of tenant and common area and capital projects as required
* Respond to emergency situations in an urgent manner and implementing corrective actions as required
* Identify possible areas of improvement to overall building energy efficiency The Candidate: Applicants for this role must have the following: * Provincial Certificate 4th or 5th Class Operators Certificate required, and post-secondary education in Power Engineering preferred
* Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office ( Word, Excel, Outlook), Angus PM, and good working knowledge of HVAC systems and controls
* Two years plus experience in building operations with a good understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
