Job Description:
This is a part time position that includes media and public relations through Mailchimp, Wordpress web site, Twitter, and Facebook. Experience with these platforms and with use of Photoshop for design of materials relating to the exhibits is essential. The gallery coordinator works to maintain and build the visibility of the gallery within the arts community of Vancouver and beyond. Planning and execution of gallery events, and basic office administration will also be part of the job.
Desired/Required Skills:
• Understanding of Social Media platforms for marketing purposes
• Proficiency with Photoshop for design of marketing kits
• Knowledge of contemporary art
(preferably some educational or professional experience)
• Strong written and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in written and spoken English
• Some French an asset
• Positive and energetic personality with enthusiasm for the gallery and its potential
