For sale is a Northwest coast cedar painted and carved mask. This mask is called a Tsonoque (wild woman) mask and has a black face (in some images the sun makes it look lighter) and large red lips in an 'O' shape. In Northwest Coast mythology, the wild woman is physically strong enough to tear down trees, spiritually powerful enough to resurrect the dead, and possesses magical treasure and great wealth. It is signed " Tsonoqua Wild Woman `89 Tony Charlie Coast Salish Penklakut". It is 6 1/4" H X 5” W and in very attractive condition with minor paint loss as seen in photo. I have been selling AUTHENTIC Northwest Coast Masks since 1999 on eBay so buy with confidence. Thank you for looking and please browse & follow my store as new items are continually being added.
