I love this camera but I am currently trying to sell all my gear and looking to upgrade to a D600 or D800. The D300 is still a very capable camera and can compete with the newer sensors up to ISO 800 and even ISO 1600 if your good enough. although that is a stretch for most people. Iv done a lot of comparison shots with my D300 vs my D3200. This camera is great for bird photography as it has a fast and accurate auto focus system and shoots at up to 6 frames per second.
